Crystal Cap Cleaners patented design incorporates a rotating impeller that directs the force of high impact nozzles directly at the air cap, air cap ring or shroud, which is sealed by an o-ring. The pressurized fluid strikes the contaminated areas from continuously changing directions. Due to the effectiveness of the high impact nozzles in motion, solvent usage is held to a minimum and the vessel self cleans.
In
solvent based environments, the impeller consumes less air as there
are normally only two nozzles per impeller and cleaning and drying times
generally do not exceed 11 seconds. There is no need for extra piping
or high capacity valves.
In water-based environments Crystal Cap Cleaners has introduced High-Speed Drying Collar (HSDC), which is incorporated into the design of the floating seal assembly. This device is triggered after the impeller air has been turned off and the gun is exiting the vessel. The HSDC ensures that no residual fluid is left on the air cap, ring or shroud resulting in a clean dry air cap.
A 2" NPT drain port is provided at the bottom of the unit to be connected to a solvent recovery system, or directs the waste from the unit through the booth grate or into a holding container.
